Faculty Position in Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for one tenured faculty position at the associate/full professor level with an expected start date of July 1, 2016 in the broadly defined field of experimental physical chemistry. The basic qualification for this position is a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a related field at the time of application.

加州大學伯克利分校，全稱伯克利加利福尼亞大學(英語：University of California, Berkeley，也縮寫為伯克利加大、英語：UC Berkeley、Berkeley或Cal，也常譯為伯克利大學或加州大學伯克利分校)，是美國最負盛名的一所公立研究型大學，位於舊金山東灣伯克利市的'山丘上。

伯克利加大是加利福尼亞大學中最老的一所。它也是美國大學協會(Association of American Universities)的創始會員之一。學校每學期為本科生和研究生提供近300門可選課程。學校總面積為約27平方公里，中心校園面積約為0.8平方公里。

在美國的大學運動聯賽裡因以往只有一所加州大學，因此伯克利一直以California作校名，簡稱Cal，並沿用至今;其吉祥物蛻變自加州徽號，故其學生亦常自稱“金色小熊”(Golden Bears/Cal Bears)。

伯克利研究水平非常堅厚，六種化學元素為伯克利科研人員所發現，若計入與其關係密切的勞倫斯伯克利國家實驗室更多達16種，位居世界第一，其中鉳(Berkelium)更以伯克利命名;根據美國國家科學研究委員會伯克利擁有全美最多十大傑出研究課程，另學校共有70位諾貝爾獎、9位沃爾夫獎、7位菲爾茲獎(數學)、15點陣圖靈獎、45位麥克阿瑟獎、20位奧斯卡金像獎(演藝)及11位普立茲獎(新聞)得主。
